Ripoff I lost $48 and never even used this service

I signed up for an unlimited music download service for $1 per month. I was charged $48 for a 4 year term (what I was told via telephone today). He said it was in the Terms and Conditions. I went back to reread it and the site is down. They supposedly cancelled my membership but the $48 is non-refundable. I called my bank and they said I could dispute future charges if I catch them the day they're made. Since I bank online I check every day anyway, but I lost $48 and never even used this service. This is ridiculous! And there seems to be no recourse. That's even more ridiculous!!
