Ebay Member bruce1115 Transposed zipcode, Sent to wrong address, Advertized Priority, but sent Parcel Post, Item severely damaged, Not even willing to negotiate. Ripoff

Jacuzzi pump (wt. 16 lbs) was paid for on date of eBay transaction, Oct 7th. Seller claims he didn't receive notification until Oct 14th. Item was advertised as "Insurance Not Offered", but advertised shipping method was Priority Mail, so I figured it was a safer bet than Parcel Post.

Seller claims he "forgot" to send it as agreed, and then reimbursed me $8.00 for the difference in postage; the only problem was that the cheap screw couldn't even do simple math because the difference was $9.13, not to mention that the pump was permanently damaged for the following reasons:

ONE; Seller claims he shipped the 16 pound item in a sturdy box, but it was actually a light bulb carton with about a days worth of mostly folded newspaper and only one pass of clear tape under the box bottom.

TWO: Again, item was sent by Parcel Post, instead of Priority Mail, which put the item at additional risk.

THREE: The moron transposed my zipcode digits so that three weeks later, I was still wondering where the heck my pump was.

FOUR: Seller accused me of tampering with the zipcode and addressing in order to make it look like he was guilty; then he accused the post office of repackaging the item.

FIVE: After my local postmaster examined the parcel, she determined that it was one of the worst packaging jobs she had ever seen, that it still was in the original carton as sent by the seller, that no one had tampered with the address label, and that the light bulb box he had chosen had already been used on two different occasions and still bore the previous addressing from FedEx and one other.

When confronted with the news of damage, rather than make any attempt to work out the issue, his first reaction was to find an attorney and then accuse me of harrassing him.

This guy is totally irresponsible and has no business being on eBay.
