DSL light constantly blinking, half page load - AT&T DSL

I recently purchased a new router since my old one stopped working and now evert time that I try and get on the Internet I get half of a page loaded if one loads at all, pictures missing, and reading is impossible because I have to constantly keep reloading the pages sometimes it takes me reloading a page 6 times and then everything will come up but once I move to a new page the same thing happens again, the lights are constantly blinking all the time surfing the web is impossible and doing homework is even worse I can even look at examples because of this and I have been with ATT for years.
