Msn
Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

Internet & Web

Back in 2003 without my knowledge an MSN email account was opened under one of my credit cards. It was part of some Dell offer though I am almost certain I did not give my authorization for the account to be opened. It must have been automatically opened when I purchased a Dell product.

I have never even logged on to the account nor was I aware it was still open. I noticed the charge on one of my American Express statements and realized at that point that they have been charging me $21.95 every month since May! I understand I am also to blame since I did not review my statements as closely as I should have. However MSN was very deceptive to
automatically sign me up for an account without my authorization.

I'm sure many others have become a victim to this devious practice. I even tried calling MSN to explain the situation. Of course the rep would not assist me and gave me the typical "there's nothing I can do" line. Had they been willing to look into the situation further they would have seen that I had never even logged on to the account. As a result I've incurred charges of over $300 for an account I have never even used nor was I made aware of.
