Angry customer. - cvs caremark

The story goes like this: I'm standing in line at the pharmacy and am told that CVS Caremark suddenly won't cover the medicine (that its been covering for 2 years with no problem until today, out of the blue) that I need. Worse, they suddenly need prior authorization from my physician, which means an explanation of exactly why my doctor is prescribing this drug instead of another one. Shockingly, this [insert profane word here] is legal and not a violation of the HIPAA act (patient privacy laws). I actually get sick within a couple of hours of missing a dose, so I can't even go a whole day without it. I normally take it in the morning, and this was in the evening, so I was already starting to feel sick. What's even more ridiculous is the fact that a person must be weened off of this medicine and can't suddenly stop taking it - so if they aren't pure evil they're going to have to pay for it at least one more time anyway. If they won't even do that much, then the idea that "insurance companies don't make medical decisions" is utter BS.

To all of you who have been trying to convince me that hell is real, I just might be tempted to finally believe you, since I'm starting to think that's where insurance companies come from.

P.S. As far as I can tell, in emergency situations (and being sick all night without my dose) 72 hours worth must be dispensed by law. I don't know if this means that the insurance has to cover 72 hrs worth or it just needs to be dispensed. I was given 3 days worth and had to pay out of pocket, and the cost for 3 days with no insurance was equal to my entire 30 day Rx with insurance.
