138 Beauty Salon I paid for express shipping, but company sent ground! Refused to refund

Made a purchase from 138 Beauty Supply on 8/21 and paid to have my order shipped express delivery so that I will have by 8/23. I received an email approximately 30 minutes later saying my order shipped and that tracking info will be forthcoming. I waited 24 hours before placing a call to the company regarding the tracking number. The person who answered the phone proceeded to "track" the order for me and told me that my order is scheduled to be delivered on 8/23.

I thanked him for the info and requested that the tracking info be sent to me via email. Once I received the email, I began tracking myself. Once on FED EX tracking site, I learned that not only was my package not scheduled to be delivered on 8/23, but that the company decided to send my order "Ground". I placed another call to the company and left a message.

I also got online and left them a message on their site, with documenation proving that I paid for EXPRESS shipping and after receiving my money, they chose to send ground. The guy whom I spoke with to get the tracking info was the same one who returned my call. He asked abrutly, "Yes, how can I help you?" I began to inquire as to why when I paid for express shipping would they send ground. He told me that he didn't handle the transation, but later in the conversation, told me that they promised him I'd get it by 8/23.

I asked if he would refund me my money for the extra shipping and he proceeded to debate with me about their store policy... They only give store credit. I explained that due to my experience with them and their shaddy dealings, I will never purchase ANY thing from them ever again. He said, "Well, I'm trying to meet you half way, you have an online credit." This company was deceitful and is unwilling to accept or correct their mistake. I will never purchase anything from them, and I'm suggesting others do the same. I work too hard for my money for it to be stolen by ANYONE.
