Wellbridge, Denver Athletic Club, etc... Worst Club Ever and a bunch of crooks too

This club is the worst place in the world. Hidden fees in there dues, the facility is dilapidated, staff is rude and inept, locker rooms are nasty, etc... I could go on for days about what a crappy facility this place is.

Now on to the ripoff. I was unhappy with the club for numerous reasons and decided to leave. I cleaned my locker out and went to the desk to cancel my membership. Holy smokes, you would have thought I threatened to blow the place up with the way they reacted! They were courteous at first asking why I wanted to leave, I explained my reasons and they said that they were fixing the problems and that if I "hung in there" things would be made right. I declined. Then they said my membership was not cancel-able. Then I got the GM of the club involved and told him what was up. He was more courteous then the others and understood my desire to leave. He wanted my business back as he was sure that I would not be happy with the new club I was going to and that I would be back. He said "lets just freeze your membership with no penalty and that way when you come back you wont have to pay another enrollment fee". I asked him what would happen if I never came back and he said my account would be cancelled after a few months of being "inactive". I agreed and walked out.

A couple of months later I started receiving phone calls from their accounting office looking for my dues. I told them the story about cancelling and the frozen account and they told me that it was no problem and would be taken care of. I went throught this twice.

They are now sending me to collections for almost $1000.00 for services I never received or wanted. I just didn't want to use their awful, dirty, out-dated facility with rude staff any longer.
