I have a situation that is the same a some others here concerning Sensa... I saw an advertisement on TV for a free, 30 day supply for $4.95 for S&H... So I called the phone number that was listed, and when I talked to a representative, she told me that before the 30 days are up, if I want to cancel then I can, as long as it is before 30 days, because at the 30 day mark, I will be sent out another month...
When I asked what does it cost, she told me that it costs 4.95 and thats all... So I went with it. When I received the product, twp weeks later, it had two months supply in it. When I looked at the statement, I was billed $89.95, there was no $4.95 even on the statement. I called the Colorado Attorney Generals office and they let me know that they would have to look into it, but it sounded like a bait and switch type scam.
They advertise for a free sample to get customers in, and because a lot of people, according to the AG's office, does not really pay attention to "memberships" like that, there wouldn't be a lot of legal complaints, nor lawsuits or anything. Either that, or Sensa's legal team has found a loophole they can use to bambuzzle unsuspecting people. But for the most part, according to the AG's office, they have committed credit card fraud because they were not (at least with me) authorized anything over $4.95, especially when they did not mention any price above $4.95.
So, talk to your AG's office concerning credit card fraud and see if you get the same results.
