Massage Envy Prestonwood
Owners: Bruce McGovern Employee BANNED from 4 Clinics for Resigning

Health & Medicine

I wrote this to a corporate email that an outside clinic gave me "info@massageenvy.com" an thats been over a month ago an no response.

To whom it may concern;

My name is * * and I am an ex-employee of Massage Envy "prestonwood" in Dallas, TX. I resigned October 11 due to non-complience with the Massage Envy Employee Handbook Policies "Workplace Harrassment".in summary from September 3 to October 11 I was constantly being harrassed by 2 co-workers. For over a month I was being disrespected, harrassed and threatened and when I was hired on I was promised a safe work environment with open door policies. This conduct was always allowed in the clinic and rules were rarely enforced. Prior to * being our General Manager our clinic didnt even have a manager for 3 months. There were over 4 incidences where management and owners were notified as well as dated documentation an not one write-up was ever issued. After resigning I joined the wellness program so that I could continue massage after being injured at work on august 25 due to neglegence from the owners an there inability to find proper storage for supplies. A 35lb box fell directly on top of my head while making coffee in the breakroom causing a concussion, neck/head contusion and disk compression in the spine (thorasic). Although my injury had nothing to do with why I resigned I clearly needed to continue massage even though I no longer worked there.

So after resigning and joining the wellness program I booked a session with my therapist at prestonwood Diana Alvarez (the best!) on October 21. When I arrived to my appt the front desk associate informed me that I was not allowed to be at the clinic and that I had been banned from ALL 4 of the Mcgovern clinics. (Bruce and stephanie mcgovern own 4 dallas clinics) The manager on duty would not come out of her office to give me an explanation nor was I notified when booking the session. Also my therapist Diana missed out on 40$ due to them booking the session an not telling me until 5mins prior to the session starting. I know what it takes to get banned. There has to be some kind of innappropriate conduct, stealing, harrassment or assault to get banned. I didnt do anything except for resign from my position and I feel like Im being targeted. Another ex-employee that had actually been terminated was at the clinic october 21st when I came in for my appt. She was in the back breakroom talking to therapists' and she was not employed there anymore. Also an employee who got fired over a month before I resigned for not showing up to work; him an his girlfriend have memberships use it at the prestonwood clinic every month. Ive tried contacting the owners to see why I have been banned from all 4 clinics and they never return my calls or emails on the matter. None of prestonwoods ex-employees have ever been banned and now that Im a member I cant even see my therapist that is familiar with my medical conditions nor go to any clinics that are close to me. Can someone please get back to me with an explanation?
