Very rude when I tried to cancel appointment for a family emergency. Rip-off!

My husband had a dental appt on Saturday May 8. He called on Friday at 1:00 pm to cancel that appt. They told him they were going to charge him $25.00 for cancelling his appt because it was not 24 hours notice. We called them back to explain to them that we had an family emergency a family member that was dying which required him to go out of town and he was not going to make the appt. They began to get rude and tell him that he was lying they were yelling at us they were not compassionate at all about the situation, and this was our first time seeing this dentist.
