Fraudulent transactions to my checking account

I was ripped off as well. Just called my 24 hour bank line and found out that a charge of $139.00 and change was deducted from my account! I am horrified that someone could have gotten my checking account information. I do not shop online using my account information nor have I received anything in the mail stating if I did not respond my account would be charged (as I have read others had happen)

My question to the public is this: About a month ago I had 2 college students come by my apartment and ask for me to buy/renew subscriptions to magazines that I have, it would help them win a trip somewhere. I did pay with check to them AND the company was Palmetto Marketing Inc. The Interbill scam can come from a marketing partner, could this be one of them? Did anyone else pay for anything from someone at their door by check recently?

Maybe this could be the problem, I don't know. What I do know is that if my bank does NOT rectify this situation immediately, I will go to the media and to my lawyers about it. We cannot stand for something like this. This is a horrible violation of privacy and must BE STOPPED!
