GEHA ripoff Be ready to pay your medical bill by yourself. What you are told is not what you get

Health & Medicine

I signed up with GEHA during enrolment period for my health insurance coverage because it was written in their brochure that they cover the medical treatment I was interested in.

I went to their web site to find a participating provider only to find out there were only two doctors listed as participating with the insurance company in the US, the closest one to me was over 250 miles away.

I called the costomer service desk for help only to be told there is nothing they can do. I could go for the procedure but will pay half the cost although this was one of their marketing gimick that this particular procedure was covered.

This is akin to false marketing of unavailable services. This was used to lure people to sign up. Now after my procedure I'm left with a bill exceeding $5,000 for out of pocket expenses.
