Insensitivity

I has walking around with a hand held basket selecting items I needed on 5-28. I asked the clerk to unlock the colonge shelf so I could select 2 Axe products priced at approximately $8.95 each. While continuing to shop in the store, the same clerk 'took' my hand held basket and said to leave it behind the counter because of the Axe products. I was so enraged but I held my thoughts. I purchased the items to show the tall gentle gentleman that I don't steal. I am a 61 year old Black male, who has never been to jail. I am a 2002 retiree of Southwestern Bell Telephone Co, who has witnessed insensitivity all of my life. Do I think he was directed to do this? Yes. Do I think he needs to be fired? Of course not! Sensitivity training for different cultures. I believe so. I considered an attorney, then I thought, he was only trying to do what his boss told him to do. Do I want an apology? Yes. Am I looking for a handout? No. I recently ordered medicine from the OST and Scott location and picked it up on 5-13. More Black faces-less insensitivity. And do you know what is ironic? I think the manager at the Bellfort and Broadway location is Black!
