Craig's list scam. I listed a Bath Lift and was immediatley contacted by email from Jones Frank. Going to London, his assistant will send cashiers check. Oops, assistant put wrong amount on the check

Health & Medicine

I was contacted immediatley after posting an ad on Craig's list for a bath lift. Tthe price was $400.

He stated he was leaving for London and his assistant would mail a cashiers check or money order for $400 plus $20 for inconvience. His assistant would then arrange to pick up the device when I had cashed the check. He also wanted the item pulled from Craig's list.

I told him I was going out of town and his schedule would not work for me.

He then sent another email stating that his assistant put the amount for another check on my check and would I go ahead and cash it and send him the difference. He hoped he could trust me on this.

I sent him an email stating I was on to his game and that there would be no further transactions. Apparantly he has used the same scenario several times.
