Severe Niaspan 500 mg Reaction

My second experience with Niaspan occurred on 04/25 at 5:30 PM, preceded with an 81 mg aspirin, and food, as directed. At 8:30 PM I had the most severe reaction ever. I felt like I was burning all over, red rash, dizziness, diarrhera, nausea, and tingling that lasted for at least 30 min. The rash on my lower arms lasted for several more hours. I was in total misery.

As I can no longer take this med, I am seeking reimbursement for the 88 remaining tablets that I still have on hand. Total cost was $120.00. Wal-Mart will not take prescription meds in return, and suggested that I contact you for some satisfaction in this matter. I don't understand how this medication can still be on the market.
