Vision Works
Deceptive Advertising, Bait and Switch

Health & Medicine

March 7 I visited the VisionWorks shop since I'd observed an advertisement within the Sunday document having a "purchase any body within the shop for $59" notice. After I visited the shop with my kid I requested the buying price of the contacts, single-vision. I had been informed the contacts to get a kid 17 and below began at $139- on as much as $189. I believed it was somewhat large (!) when I have been performing research just before this visit. We left without creating a purchase.

After I returned home I chose to contact the VisionWorks shop and verify the lens cost. Throughout that phone I had been informed the only vision contacts ranged from $84- to $139. After I requested the repetition if this cost put on the (any design) $59 structures, there is a short stop, after which she responded: "number, if so the contacts begin at$139."

I asked why the change in contact costs, because, in the end, these were exactly the same simply single-vision contacts. The repetition mentioned that "the $59- for almost any body marketing has one pricing collection for lenses, as well as for these clients spending top dollar for structures, there's another pricing collection for lenses". Quite simply, there's a-2-rate pricing routine that will be filled for that client who buys the purchase structures; however the client who gives the standard, low-reduced price for that frames isn't billed the inflated mark up about the contacts, but simply the typical value.

E-commerce training is Misleading Marketing and that I am processing a using the Florida Department of Consumer Affairs.
