This company was wrongfully billing our organization for over a year until we discovered it on a line-item in a bank statement. They sneak the line item in stating:
- automated debit mdhp800319* healthplan $39.95
Our company never authorized them to charge us.
This company contacted an employee of ours in August calling on behalf of Discover Card and offering "discounted health care service information" for vision and other general benefits.
They asked the employee if:
- he was over the age of 18
- if he was employed by our company
- if he is authorized to allow for a info kit to be sent to us for free
In under 60 seconds they were off the phone with our employee never being able to state anything aside from "yes" to the above 3 questions.
After finding it, we called and asked about what the charges were for.
We were informed that someone authorized the charges on behalf of our company.
We asked who and they did not even have the correct name in the system!
No name, no phone number, no nothing of the employee who authorized it, just the voice recording which NEVER stated anything about us being billed $39.95 every month automatically.
This company uses very shady techniques to scam businesses into allowing for automatic deductions from your bank account by using the info they already have on file through Discover card so they do not have to ask for any billing info.
Should be avoided.
