We just received a letter dated Dec 6, from Coats Orthodontics. It informed us that Dr. Coats is insolvent, closing his practice and declaring bankruptcy.
The letter also states Coats Orthodontics will be unable to reimburse prepaid amounts, which in my case amounts to more than $2500.00. There is no information on how to make a claim as a creditor in the bankruptcy proceedings or which chapter was filed and when. I have one child who was expecting to get braces on next month and begin the treatment we've been paying for, and another who should be getting her braces off in April. What a mess!
