Soldiers & Sailors Hospital (PA) FORGOT MY DAD IN I.C.U.!

My father suffered a minor heart attack in August. Thankfully, his brother knew what first aid to minister and the ambulance was quick to rush him to the hospital. If it had been up to Soldiers & Sailors, the hospital he was rushed to, he probably would have died!

Dad was placed in I.C.U. But instead of being given the empty glass-walled room in front of the nurses' station, he was placed in an out-of-the-way room behind the door to I.C.U. There he stayed, in the clothes he had been wearing at the time of the attack, for 24 hours. No one came to check on him or give him meals. No one bathed him or gave him a toothbrush. No one offered him water, or tissues, or clean clothes.

When he finally recovered enough to complain about the treatment he had received, the nurses quickly fixed him up in the glass-walled room in front of the nurses' station and provided him with meals and toiletries. They had apparently just FORGOTTEN that he was back there!

This is not my only hospital horror story, but it is definitely the most recent and closest to my heart. I would advise never going to Soldiers & Sailors for anything more serious than a paper cut! Who knows how many cases of medical malpractice have been perpetrated by this staff!
