Mollen Immunization Clinic
Scam! Says Insurance will cover and then double bills. Stalls Refund!

I took my daughter to a Mollen clinic in a WalMart in October to receive a flu shot. I was assured our insurance (BLUE CROSS) would pay for the shot so I decided to just do it right there rather than take her to her pediatrician.in June, I receive a bill from Mollen saying no, your insurance doesn't pay after all. Rather than debating this issue as it was an obvious ploy to get me to recieve the flu shot - I just paid the $30 due.

Six weeks later, I receive another bill. This one was for $28.00 and I could not find a record of paying $28.00 to them so figured I must not have paid it. A couple weeks later I find the cancelled check for the initial payment and call Mollen. This was August 9 and I was told yes, I was due a $30 refund and they would get that right out to me. On August 31 I called again and was told oops - we forgot to send it! We'll send it right out.

Now it's October 1, and no refund. I spoke to Caroleen this morning and was told the refunds are very much backed up and only one woman issues them. No one knows how to access her records and she doesn't come into work until 10:00 am. Must be nice to have a job with no accounatability eh?
