Congressional Health Plans
Took money out of my band account but failed to send me a contract or insurance cards won't answer calls

Recently I went online and filled out information to help me find affordable health insurance. I was contacted by a man who gave me the details on a company called Congressional Health Plans and I was seduced into thinking it was legitimate and even gave my financial institution routing number to get the process going. I then had second thoughts and sent an e-mail to the company with my concerns, but never got a reply. I was told I would get a contract in the mail within five days. I never did. I figured after a few weeks it was not happening and looked into other options, more legitimate options. I was checking my online account the other day and noticed a strange withdrawal and upon contacting my bank found out it was from Congressional Health Plans and there was a number on the info. So we called and called and were put on hold and never called back. When I went to the website it said the site was down due to maintenance. I was told by the very accomodating man I talked to originally that I could cancel at any time. Oh really... Hard to do when they are not accessible. I paid two bucks at the bank and had the transaction stopped. But what a nightmare and I am not sure if it is over. Congressional Health Plans... If it sounds too good to be true... It probably is... Steer clear!
