Anthem Blue Cross blue shield Screwed by Anthem

I work for a large company in Northeast Pa. That is headquartered in Ohio. Unfortunately we are Insured by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Ohio, aka Anthem.

For the past year or so I have had increasing back pain with 55 visits to a chiropractor just so I can make it to work.

I decided to see a specialist, had X-rays, CAT scan, MRI tried another round of meds then made the decision to go for surgery, however I wanted to make sure it was a one time surgery and agreed to a Disco-gram" a bunch of needles and injections into the spin. This found even more damage than expected.

Surgery was set for 01 Oct 09, I used up my vacation time, did all the pre admission work, fitted for turtle shell, hospital bed delivered to the house and checked out on disability.

The 30th of September I was told that my surgery was declined by my insurance. With all the damage"deteriorating disc, tears and bulges, no spinal slippage!" What the hell has the Chiropractor been putting back in place?

Now into the appeals process and my life is being decided by a computer program and a so called specialist that has never talked to me or seen me.
