My wife had surgery six months later incision did not heal but grew and became a sore the size of a silver dollar surgeon ordered wound vac to get blood circulating in that area so soar would heal before infection or worse had happened. Surgeon said it saved insurance money because if sore had not heal there could have been a lot more doctor visits. Thank god it worked but insurance co. Said it was not necessary and they have never seen my wife she could have lost her foot without wound vac and surgeon wrote letter urging insurance co. To reconsider and pay but they still denied. Now i feel helpless it was so obvious she needed it.
