Company filed lien on my property without notice or my representation

In December of 1999, I had an MRI done that the hospital took my insurance information but mis-billed as a workman's comp claim. They then came back 7 months later stating that my claim was denied. I informed them where to submit the bill, but came back again stating there was a problem.information was submitted to my employer to clear up this mess. ROD&D started to contact me several months later. I informed them of the problem and that we were trying to resolve the issue.
I got threatening computerized letters. Later in they had slapped a lien on my house without notifying me of any court date or appearance needed in order to defend myself. Now I am trying to still straighten out this mess and ROD&D don't want to admit that their client messed up from the get go and are trying to get me to pay.
