Smoke Assassin False advertising (radio and internet,) poor customer service (hung up on twice)

I heard an advertisement on the radio for a free trial starter pack of the Smoke Assassin program. I called and spoke with an initially friendly representative. She explained the system to me and offered me the trial pack for $9.95.

Upon obtaining my credit card information, I was advised she could not complete the trial order unless I ordered a box of replacement cartridges for $69.95. She stated this was because of how much I smoke. I said that I merely wanted to try the product but she said she could not proceed with the order unless I ordered the pack and hung up on me.

I called again to see if this was part of their spiel and told them I smoked 1/4 of what I told the first representative. I was again given information about the product and offered the trial pack for $9.95 which I agreed to and provided my credit card information once again, only to get the same spiel about ordering the refill cartridges. I was told this time that 2 weeks (the amount of time the trial pack would last) was not enough time for the nicotine to leave my body. When I attempted to correct the representative (it's 72-96 hours, clinically proven,) he became petulant and spoke to me as if I was an idiot for not believing it takes 2 weeks for nicotine to get out of my system and hung up on me.

Things to know about this company:

1) There is no free trial, don't bother.

2) From reading other reports, hanging up on customers is common and acceptable practice for them.

3) They provide unfounded medical information.
