Scott W. Shore, DDS And Lee D. Morton DDS Children's & Adolescent Dentistry, LTD Fraudulent Billing, Over charging, bundling, not reimbursing patient monies due to them, harassment, extortion

Our 3 year old had a terrible accident falling from the second floor to the first floor landing face first. He had climbed over the railing thinking he could reach something. Our child had to flown flight for life to the nearest level one trauma center. We were so lucky that our child only needed a few stitches and to follow up with a dentist as some teeth were lose and gums were torn off.

Our child was going to need some teeth removed and some gums suetchered. Since our child has congenital heart defects we had to find a dentist that could perform this procedure in a pediatric hospital with a cardiac anestheologists. ALL of this had to happen quite quickly as it was a trauma.

We found Dr. Shore at Children's & Adolescent Dentistry, LTD who had surgical rights at the hospital we needed to go to.

Dr Shore asked for a $1300.00 deposit to schedule surgery but said he would give us a break and we would have to pay $750.00 but would get it back after he received payment from our insurance companies. He told us that he finds people who care about their children have no problems paying for them. (very inappropriate I thought) Our child has had 2 heart surgeries, been in the NICU, PICU and we have had extensive medical debt.

All being said, the doctor Scott Shore DDS, sent info to both dental and then medical insurance companies, making several phone calls to us asking us to speed things up. Calling to ask for $1000.00 since it was taking so long. Well surgery was 1-14-09 dental insurance cut a check 1-28-09 and 2-13-09 medical executed payment 4-03-09.

We phoned the office in April to make sure they would be sending a reimbursement to us, they indicate it did not make the monthly cut off and would be issued next month.

It is now July and we have received nothing. Now when calling the office they indicate they aren't sure what we are referring to and our child's file is in offsite storage.
We have never received a statement or billing info from them so we obtained all submissions from our insurance companies.

We e-mailed copies of all info to the doctor and staff and Doctor Shore said he refuses to look at it. After looking thru all billing submissions, it was very clear that Dr. Shore is committing insurance fraud as well as ripping his patients off by not refunding any portion to them. The Doctor was paid well over what his actually billing was!
