Ripoff tricked and lied to us

I was on Paxil CR (a controlled release-anti-anxiety/depression medication) for nearly 3 months. While on this drug, I experienced some minor side effects, however, they were ending up to be a bit of a hinderance to my life. I know that drugs such as this do have side effects, so it did not bother me. What DID bother me, was when I decided to stop taking Paxil CR.

A few days after stopping Paxil CR... I experienced 2 weeks of the most awful withdrawal symptoms (from this so-called "non-addictive medication). I had a constant migraine headache, nausea, dizziness, and just all around felt extremely awful.

I was unable to do my work 100% and I also had very weird dreams while asleep. After 2 weeks of those symptoms, I felt quite a bit better... But, I still get these "zaps" that go through my head sometimes. They feel like electrical zaps in my brain. I know I am not the only one who has gone though such symptoms. After it started, I did research and realized that there are numerous people who share in this phenomenon.

I know that it was my decision to go off of this medication... But, I think that I should have been given warning per the medication FAQS form I received when I filled my prescription... I can't even blame my doctor, because... Well, he obviously didn't know either... From my research, the majority of doctors do not realize that there are such withdrawal symptoms from this medication. Also, I have researched that even tapering the medication and weaning off of it generally does not help with these symptoms. I was one of the lucky ones, my symptoms went away. However, there are many people who this is just a neverending nightmare... They must get back on Paxil CR indefinately... How is that fair? To be addicted to a drug that they don't want to be on... And they have to pay for it.

There are some people who have filed lawsuits... So, good luck to them! I am not going to bother with that, because, I am better now... But, I just want to send out a warning to everyone... Beware of Paxil CR!
