Continually takes funds ffrom my account, even though I have tried on numerous occassions to cancel. How can we stop these funds being removed from our accounts?

I have continually tried to have a debit from my card stopped by these people on many occassions to no avail.
They continually teke money from my account on a monthly basis.
Surely there must be some way to stop these people?
