The Truth was Told

Everything said about this company was beyond the truth in the intial posting. Some things were missed to include HDE allowed coders to work on their personal laptops without proper safeguards for patient personal information, pt charts were sent to coders over the www,and just recently the company is trying to come into privacy compliance.

It is true that all coders were not certified and the company did not have a standing background check policy or program in place allowing anybody to view unsuspecting people personal information.

HDE is slow on reimbursing their coders for expenses and it is true that coders have been left without rental cars and hotel rooms. Get this they even want you to use your own car insurance, that is if you can get a car. Their reputation amongst coders is almost burned.

All of these things were true up until the day that I left.

In regards to lying to clients about HDE's HIPAA training that is true, coders have worked there for months without any training, let alone a HIPAA.in March the first policy was drafted on any issues about privacy, but it left out alot of details seen in more organized companies. The policy given to employees was and is pointless because it does not cover HDE once employees leave.

The girl that told them about their issues was correct and I heard she has a tape of the last conversation that she had with HDE's owners. I wish I could have seen their face when they realized that not everyone was going to act like me or their daughter. They fired their daughter after their slime ball executive D. B set her up. It is still up in the air how far the girl is going to go with exposing them, I personally hope she goes all the way. People should know that their information may have been comprimised.
