We have two homes and last week my husband went up north and brought me back a package mailed to our upstate New York address. I was surprised because I never get mail at that address because we reside in Tennessee. When I opened the box it contained two bottles of supplements that are labeled Slim Seduction. We checked my husband's credit card statement since I only have a debit card and, sure enough, there was a shipping charge of the $3.97 the GNS invoice/label inside showed. The fine print said they would auto ship 2 bottles every 45 days and next month bill that card $79.90. We never sign up for these auto ship deals. I did not call a toll-free number after watching an infomercial to join what this company's paperwork says I did - their "Club Membership."
Fortunately, we were planning to cancel that card anyhow for other reasons but my husband told me he had seen a TV show or news report lately saying companies like this could turn me over to collections and ruin my credit even if I followed the company procedure to request a return authorization number, pay for the return shipping costs and await reimbursement, exchange, or refund..
This is deliberate fraud. I do not know how they got the card number or bill to and ship-to.
I will follow the return procedure just in case if for no other reason than to protect my credit. Also, I will file a consumer complaint with the Attorney General in Colorado (google it for the downloadable form):
