Rich get richer and the poor get poore

I spoke to CHIP today to see what level my family qualified for. I got laid off in the middle of january and my husband has not had a full 40 week for at least 3 months. We looked into chip because we, along with everyone we know, thought they would be able to help us because our income is only around 31,000 since I have been laid off. When I called, the lady I spoke to said we did NOT qualify because our son (who is 9 months old) is currently insured and because we do not make enough money to qualify. This is absolutely ridiculous. I think that CHIP is one of the many companies that has made this economy so bad. Their advertisements are deceiving and I would never recommend anyone to this company.
