Avoid Southern Hospital and Doctors Hospital—They Suck!

Over the past few years, I've been hospitalized for various medical conditions. Of the three hospitals I've stayed, Southern Maryland in Clinton and Doctors Hospital in Lanham are the worst I've ever been in.

Both of these hospitals are overcrowded and their accommodations leave much to be desired, to put it lightly. If you have to stay for any length of time like I did, you might as well plan on a starvation diet because the food at these places is nothing short of awful! I had my family sneak some home-made items in for me while I was at both of these places because I just couldn't eat that stuff. The food was either overcooked or not cooked at all! I even found hair in some of the stuff they gave me but when I reported it to the head nurse all she said was "so what?" Is it any wonder hospital stays are the 8th leading cause of death in this country?

Another thing I didn't like about those two places was the attitude of the staff. The orderlies acted like you owed them something and the nurses were either rude, incompetent, or bossy. Some of them wouldn't even speak to you when you asked them a polite question. I have never seen such rude and unprofessional behavior in my life. No wonder health care in America is a disaster!

So if you live in Maryland, stay away from Southern Maryland and Doctors because you'll regret it.
