Health & Medicine

I lost my job and searched for Health Insurance on 2/11/09. I started getting phone calls from numbers that I didn't recognize, so I ignored them for about 4 days. I finally answered one of the calls and a woman named Nicole (877) 446-8700 ext. 113, started talking about this great affordable Health Insurance that her company, Good Health Insurance offered. The price was amazing, so I considered and a couple of days later she called back. I was suspiscious of the re-direct numbers, because every time she called, it was a different number. HSe said that they had a call center in Las Vegas that handled her nationwide calling. I bought it.

She said that she can't call their services "health insurance" because of a state liscensing issue that would affect the cost of the service. I bought that too.

So, she charged my credit card $259.85. Ok.

I get my welcome package in the mail. We have some chincy cards and some literature, like normal.

I take my card to the pharmacy to pick up my now un-covered prescriptions for my daughter, who has an existing medial condition.

They had no idea who or what this company was or all about. I explained what the company supposedly did as far negotiating prices for prescriptions. They said that no such service is recognized in the medical community and that I have been scammed.

I called Nicole back to cancel. She was very ignorant with me on the phone, said "Yeah yeah, I can cancel your membership" and then HUNG UP on me. I called back thinking maybe she got disconnected. I left 3 messages, never heard from her again.

This is the email that I received today:

This Is Not Health Insurance"

So they're trying to charge me ANOTHER ENROLLMENT FEE - $119.90 - ($259.85 was ALREADY TAKEN OUT), and a monthly fee of $139.95, after Nicole said that she would cancel my account (which she obviously didn't).

Nicole is impossible to contact, I've tried many times, left many messages and heard nothing back.

There is only one way to contact them through their website, http://www.nbchealth.com/contact.php. It's an email form that goes TO SALES REPRESENTATIVES. They call, you tell them your problem, AND THEY HANG UP.

So basically, these people will charge my card forever, not cancel my account and not refund my money. I haven't signed anything, none of this is legally binding, there is no paper trail... I got RIPPED OFF and feel totally helpless...
