Is a scam and will use any means possible to get customers

I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying to get on a health care "plan" with CHBA. They relentlessly pursued me for months. I was told that this a plan that covers UP TO 80% of medical care. First of all, it does not pay anything its just a discount plan. Lie.

Then i was promised low co-pays, no deductible, 100% emergency room coverage, (again, its not coverage, its just a discount and only if the hospital agrees to it). I was told i could use any doctor i wanted, there were no limits. Plastic surgery was even covered! Yes, even elective procedures, I was suspicious. It sounded too good to be true of course. Later i talked to another rep who didnt know a thing about the so-called plasic surgery coverage (because it was a lie). But still promised me all the coverage i wanted at an up to 80% coverage.

When i asked to see the whole plan, i was told i would recieve a complete description in my welcome email after i enrolled. Then I was told that all phychiatric meds, phychiatric visits, and therapy would all be free! Because of my low income. Still suspicious, i put them off but i really need prescription coverage, my meds are over 400.00 a month and even a large discount would be worth the low price of 119.00 a month.

The next rep I talked to didnt know a thing about the free psychiatric benefit, when i insisted i had heard it from another rep, i was put on hold for a moment and the rep came back and confirmed it was true. Reluctantly, if not purely for the prescription and psychiatric benefit, i agreed to enroll and offered to do a post-dated check over the phone. Of course they processed my post-dated check on that very day. They said I never had a post-dated check and that i had talked to 3 different reps, which turned out to be only two because one rep goes by two names! I went to my bank and stopped payment on any and all withdrawls comming from CHBA. The bank warned me that these places are sneaky and sometimes try to withdraw from your account under a different name. Now I have to close my checking account and open a new one.

Honestly, i still know nothing about how this plan really works, I never even tried to use it, i just went by my gut and assumed I would be scammed, they had already lied, tried to take my money, and accused me of lying. Do not give any money to CHBA, they are crooks and it is a scam!
