Promised refund in full but did not deliver... Then stonewalled for months

This company is a distributor for several brands of home and commercial fitness equipment. Due to failing health and bad knees, my family bought me an Elite brand elliptical machine from Home Gym Central...
It had nothing but problems from the day it arrived... Until, ultimately, I demanded my money back.
They shipped me a box with some plastic bags, cardboard, etc. And asked that I disassemble, pack it up and ship it back... This is a coast to coast trip and I think everyone who ever put toys together on Christmas Eve will agree... It is almost impossible to put something back in a box the way you received it.
Well, they didn't like the way it was received, so they unilaterally decided that only a partial refund was warranted...
So, in addition to all the headaches associated with the unit, the time to assemble, disassemble, change out mailed parts that didn't make the fix, stay home for truckers, etc., they had the nerve to make a partial refund... And basically say "Tough luck, if you don't like it!"
If you are considering the purchase of any type of fitness equipment, I urge you not to give your hard earned money to HOME GYM CENTRAL... For, if you have a problem, you may be hard pressed to get your money back.
