Stealing Money from Accounts and Florida

Health & Medicine

Followed up on an advertisement on tv for a health insurance option advertised for anyone irregardless of physical conditions. Called to 800#, and was given a sales speal that was wonderful. They represented themselves to be something they were not. It was not insurance, but a discount program.

If you wanted more information, you had to give $359.00 which was the monthly premium plus an additional $100 for administration fees. They claim if they sent out information about their program to everyone, they would not be able to give such low prices. They wanted a credit card number which I refused to give, since giving it meant they would keep charging your card for all the monthly premiums.

I gave a check for the initiation fees, and awaited to pamphlet with information regarding the program. May I add that when the pamphlet would arrive with the information if I was dissatisfied with it I would get a 100% refund of my money.

I will make this short, but the pamphlet never came, they used my checking account to continue to debit premium payments. I called the 800# to ask for the policy information and was told they had difficulties with the printers that they use and the info was forthcoming. We called the bank and protested the charges as we never gave permisiion for this. They took 3 months of premiums total. We again called the bank, and affidavids of forgery were files. The next month they re-routed themselves under another providers number and gotr into the account and debited another $359. Of course when you call them they spout how if you did not cancel within 30 days, you were committed to their program.

I called them again to get refunds, which initiated numerous horrible harrasing phone calls. I am dumb founded they continue to advertise on television and that no one has stopped these people. Approximately 90 days and $1177 later they sent me an ID card.

I would like to list all the information on this card.
The front of this card is their logo HCCUA an I Can Benefit Group saying fully insured by Pan American Life and the Beech Street Corporation.
It describes my policy type as the 5000Rx Complete Choice.

It states my effective date as 9/1. I received the card in late October having paid the $359 and $100 August 10th of 2007. The back of the card has a logo of REDO. A number listed for pharmacy questions is 800-522-7487 There is a note that each member has $5,000 coverage for Accidenta Medical Expense in addition to primary coverage.

The address for medical claims is as liksted in the above for Plano Texas. The number listed on tv for information is in Florida though. The card says to call for general information 866-373-6366
For Accident Medical Expense 866-227-5400
Member Services: 866-227-5400
I would welcome any legal assistance to recoup my loses which at this date amount to $1,895.00.
