Never go to Dr Bizer's

I went to Dr. Bizer's in Lexington Kentucky and told them my eyesight was poor and thought I needed more than the reading glasses I had been wearing. After an eye exam that was supposed to include dilation (it did not). They said I need bifocals and that I had a cataract that was not yet bad enough to need removal. I looked over thier selection of frames and could not find any I liked that would accomodate the prescription they wrote for me. They told me the other store on the other side of town had all the nice frames.

I took my prescription and visited some other eyewear stores where I found some frames I liked and had them made to Dr Bizer's prescription. I paid $265 for them and when they were finished I could not see through them.

I went back to Dr Bizer's and they checked the glasses I had had made and told me they were the prescription (exact) that they had written for me so they would give me another free exam.

They told me they had written the prescription wrong (they had put the wrong strenght in the wrong eye) and gave me a new prescription and told me to take the glasses back to Sears and have them remade. Believe it or not Sears did this for free.

I picked up this second pair of glasses and could not see through them either. I went back to Dr. Bizer's for the third time and this time they told me that I no longer had a stigmatism and that the cataract was still not correctable, but gave me a third prescription with a note to Sears that they were sorry they had screwed up again.

I did not go back to Sears but instead to a real eye doctor who said that I had cataracts in both my eyes and I was nearly legally blind and had to operated on right away. They told me there was no prescription glasses that would correct my problem. I had the surgery and will never need to wear glasses again.

The doctor and staff at Dr. Bizer must be the most incompetant in the world. I cannot believe I wasted so much time and money at this place.

Stay away from Dr Bizer.
