Screwed many others too as seen here on consumer complaints

I purchased two pair of glasses 12-24-01 at Eyeglass World, Leesburg, FL. The Mgr Tammy was very nice, but when I asked why no prices on their hundreds of glass frames, I was told, "Oh, the prices change everyday, and we wouldn't have time to change prices that often." Later I heard from other disgruntled purchasers of glasses that the employees there bargain down on their prices if you complain...

After 12 re-turn visits, some for not being able to see correctly out of the left lenses of one pr., I was told the frames needed straightening, and this would help to correct and focus vision. My wife received a call from Eye Glass World customer service about my satisfaction, she told them I was not happy with their service, but no one ever contacted me why I was un-happy. It got so bad that my wife suggested that I try a major department store eye glass center whose name begins with a huge alphabet letter of "W".

They measured my lenses and then I called EGW for them to fax my prescription to the "W" store, listening to repeated, Mr. Shearer can't we help you with your problem, I said, "Hell! No!"

When "W" received my prescription via fax, "W" told me and showed my how far off my lenses were from the writen prescription and that my lenses had prisms in the lenses from EGW. I would never recommend EGW to anyone and will "badmouth" EGW every chance I get. They never once offered me a refund.
