Wu-Yi Tea
Promise Breakers and RipOff Artists

Health & Medicine

I placed an order on Wednesday December 12. Immediately I began getting emails with titles like "Day 1, Day 2" etc, which meant they had already started dating my order period, even though i had not yet received the tea. Finally on Day 9 I emailed customer service and I said I hope you realize my "trial period" has not yet even begun!

That night (Friday dec 21) I finally got the tea, tried it, and thought it tasted pretty blah. There was also no noticeable effect on my appetite.

Sunday I emailed a cancellation and to my astonishment, was informed that I would be billed $37 "in accordance with our agreement." Nuts to that! I emailed them back a copy of their own web page, which said clearly, "If you are not satisfied you do not pay a penny&Guaranteed."

I informed them that I would return their stupid tea, even though I was promised a "free trial" that turned out to be anything but. They are still trying to wangle more money out of me somehow!

It is bad enough I have to pay to ship back their "free trial" which it turns out was NOT free at all and never was. If you like the tea, they bill you, and they bill you if you DON'T like it, as well? So where does the "free" part come in???

Then they informed me that I had agreed to a 15% restocking fee on returned merchandise. Oh, this is just TOO adorable for words!

Once I figured out that these scumbags were going to try to bill my credit card for an additional $37.00 even AFTER I had cancelled, I called my credit card company and cancelled the card. I advise you to do the same. They will not get another dime out of me.

Additionally, I am contacting the Attorney General of the State of California, who is Bill Lockyer, a really cool guy. You can find them on the Internet. You can mail in a complaint, fax it in, or use their online web form.
