I purchased a book written by Kevin Trudeau simply because the book was advertised as containing secrets to stay healthy. I only paid postage and handling for the book. However, shortly after receiving it, I got a spooky letter from Kirsten Hart who extended an invitation for me to join a secret society. It sounded like pure hogwash but I was intrigued. Luckily, instead of sending back the letter, accepting the invitation to join, I googled Ms. Hart's name and found that this was all a big ploy to get me to buy over-priced books from some shady company. Thank God I checked her name out before getting myself caught up in some crazy and expensive scheme.
I've learned to Beware of letters (or e-mails) inviting me to join secret socities.
