False Advertising Ripoff CLearwate

Recently, while listening to an infomercial on a local AM station, I heard an advertisement for Dr. Wheelers Gold Standard Protein powder. The infomercial went on to say they would provide, absolutely free, a 2 week supply of the protein powder for just the handling and shipping charges of $9.95. Numerous times during the infomercial they mentioned the shipping and handling charges would be the only charge and that was only to be $9.95. I ordered the FREE sample and a week later received a large box containing 6 cans of powder and a video disk. I suspected I had been scammed and called their customer service number. I was eventually told that if I used all of the product my credit card would be charged $199.95.

This was NEVER mentioned on the infomercial nor from the order taker who took my credit card.
After looking at the invoice I noticed at the bottom of the page the words delayed billing but no dollar amount was listed.

This company obviously uses the infomercial to get your credit card number, Then they send you a generous amount of product without ever explaining they were going to bill you for an additional $200.00 if you use the product.

I believe this constitutes MAIL FRAUD as well as being yet another RIP OFF.
I told the rude customer service person I was talking to, that I wanted to speak to a manager. Later the manager called and I explained how disappointed I was in their deceptive advertising and that I would not be doing business with a company that is out to cheat it's customers.
