Free Medicine Foundation claims to help cover the cost of your medicines for a one time refundable fee of $10 per medicine.

I applied online and paid them $80 for 8 meds. They sent me an application for each med but it was for all capsules and not liquid. These are for my son who is 9mo old who has a feeding tube and cannot take pills. My son was also hospitalized between me enrolling and receiving the packet so they changed a couple meds and got us on a great mail order program to help us cover the insurance copayments on these meds.

I then called Free Medicine Foundation and requested a refund since the information they sent me was not for the right meds and I no longer needed their help. They told me they only refund the money I paid if they deny help to me. I told her my son no longer needed these medicines and I dont have a prescription to even send them to get denied and she told me to go to a different Dr to get a prescription for the meds they sent me applications for.

This is extremely illegal and completely ridiculous. They still refuse to send me an $80 refund and their website states the following

If for some reason you don't qualify for assistance and receive no medicine, write to Free Medicine Foundation, include denial letter (s) for all applicable medication (s) within 120 days of your original application and your full processing fee will be refunded. The beauty of this program is that if the patient is not approved, and receives no medicine, we refund the full processing fee. So, the patient has everything to gain and nothing to lose. We want the applicant to have value received.
They are full of crap!
