AIG DOMESTIC CLAIMS, AMERICAN HOME ASSURANCE COMPANY AIG Having to sue Worksman's comp to get medicial for on job injury

My son was injured on the job with Glasgow Trucking, Inc., an Alabama company, in late December. He went to a doctor per Mr. Glasgow's instructions. Doctor ordered MRI and he had 3 vertabe cracked in his neck.
AIG Worksman's Comp Insurance refused to pay for surgery. We live in Mississippi, but he worked for an Alabama company and got hurt in Alabama. After going thru several lawyers in Mississippi and then Alabama, we found a lawyer to take the case in June or July. He contacted the company and then had to file in court for medical benefits. During this time, my son was losing feelings in his hands and arms and was in lots of neck pain.

After several delays, the AIG finally sent him to their doctor in December. Their doctor said that it was work related and he needed surgery. After Christmas, we tried to set a date for surgery. The lawyer had to go back to court to get them to pay for surgery. Surgery was finally done the end of March. They finally began paying 1/2 the weekly benefit the week after surgery.

Before I decided to write this, I did a little research. I typed "AIG".in the list of web sites, I saw "AIG's Insurance Business; An Odd Sense of Gains and Losses";
WEB SITE "www.financial. Seekingalpha.com/article/28921. It basically states that the company is not paying losses in order to keep the profit margin high, but the claims are stacking up and will have to be paid at some time in the future.

It is very sad when employers pay for insurance to protect their workers and then the insurance does not pay so the worker can return to work.

Also, AIG is an international based out of Australia.
