I have had my billing changed so much - I guess that's par for the course. Different stategies are determined throughout treatment. But the right hand does not know what the left is doing. The last time I was at their office, they gave me a form to sign where certain service costs were written off because they lost my dentures. Once they lost xrays and had to do another replacement full set. They also didn't make impressions right and so because of all these things I've had to come in repeatedly. The last time I was in they had eliminated some of the billing because they lost my dentures. This left only $111.30 to be paid which I gladly signed. I used to be on a monthly payment contract where I paid $60 per month.

When I signed this agreement I asked their financial manager if this meant I no longer was on a payment plan to which he replied, "yes". Throughout the months I have had daily phone calls from the California office and the local office. Also mailings which claimed I had all these $10 monthly past due amounts. Nowhere on this form did it specify when the $111.30 was due (if it was due that day and someone had told me I would have gladly paid to save my credit). The California office said I owed something like $745... Where did they get this amount? When I went in to discuss finances with their local office (had an appointment to finally get my upper denture partial finally - but another setback - they only had the bottom) the new financial manager (the 3rd one they've had in about a year) did some figuring and came up with $900 and some dollars - when I showed her my signed form, she recalculated and said I was right, and that they had received 3 payments from me 2 for $40 and 1 for $30. This should have cleared up my balance to zero, but she said I now owe $60 because of late payments.

I'd like to know on what day of the month they arbitrarily decided I owed them and how much to determine that each month I incurred a $10 late fee. Even if they could back up all their claims, after all the setbacks I have suffered at the hand of their dentists and office help, that should be just written off. I had heard all kinds of deceptive things and tales of incompetence, I guess I should have been forwarned and thus forarmed. They just can't seem to ever come up with the same figure twice.
