Ripoff denied refund on unreceived unopened supplements

When I joined LA Weight Loss, I was "encouraged" to purchase their supplements. These were very expensive, so I was "encouraged" to buy in bulk at special discounts.

These supplements contain gurana, gymnema sylvestre, yerba mate, green tea, dandilion, ginger, & capsicum. I have found these same supplements other places for much less than what LA Weight Loss was charging.

I questioned at the time of purchase, what if I developed any side effects. My question was not answered except to say most people find them helpful in their weight loss efforts.

I did develop side effects: headaches, jitters. And I was unhappy with some elements of the weight loss plan, so I requested a refund.

I was denied more than $600 of my initial $2000 investment because they could not refund the cost of the supplements once purchased during a sale. I had joined during a special promotion.

The six bottles I have are unopened. There were four more bottles that were never given to me and still my refund was denied, because they had been purchased in bulk.

These bottles were then given to me after I submitted my refund request, since I had already purchased them and no refund would be given.

The reason given to me about my inability to return even the unopened bottles of supplements, was that they are considered drugs. If that is so, then why are non-medical staff "prescribing" and "dispensing" drugs???
