Ripoff and unauthorized use of credit card

Well, I could kick myself in the but (t). I usually come to this site before I order anything, but for some reason I did not this time.

I, too, saw the ad for CigArrest to try their product for the low, low shipping and handling price of $6.95. I wanted to quit smoking so I sent for it.

Well, as usual, I checked my credit card balance online yesterday and saw that my available credit was off by $99.85. Dazed and confused, I called Visa to find out what was going on. They informed me that there was an online charge for that amount, but they did not know who the Vendor was.

I checked back this morning online and lo and behold, I saw a charge from CigArrest for $99.85.

Too late, I came to this site and WOW, I saw the same complaint over and over again.

Nearly in tears (and yes I lit a cigarette because on top of everything else, this crap does not work), I called Visa and reported this unauthorized use.

I was transferred to Visa's dispute department and they grilled me like a fish. I directed them to this site and told them of the same complaints by people over and over again. Visa called CigArrest's "Customer Service" department but they are closed on the weekend.

Visa told me to call CigArrest on Monday to dispute the charge at which time I had to laugh. I will do that on Monday - but they have ripped off the wrong person.

I am now in the process of making a formal complaint with the Florida Attorney General, the California Attorney General and our local consumer advocate on Channel 13 in Tampa.

Please all of you who have been victimized by this company, contact me so that we can get together and get this company. There is power in numbers.
