Lost Needles via Root Canal ripoff

Dr. Anna Wilison had a new office in Carrollton, Tx when my husband went to her for a checkup. Immediately after X-rays, she said he needed to have a cavity filled, and a root canal. When he went in she told us how long the procedure was going to take. After sitting in the waiting room for quite some time, she came out and said that there was a needle that she used un the procedure that she "LOST" in his root, and she couldn't get it out. She apologized, and said that she would not charge us for the root canal! I was shocked that she "LOST" the needle first of all, and acted like money was our biggest concern at that moment.

We immediately upon arriving home scheduled an appointment with Dr. Blanchard to have it removed. He got us in quickly, and removed it with no problem. Dr. Willison sent us a bill, and even turned this over to her attorney, in which I had a long conversation with, and she said that if we'd sign off and promise not to sue, then they'd honor the charges being wived. Well -this was about 8 years ago, and we received a bill for this in the mail, and called to remind her of our deal. She has since joined with other dentists in North Dallas, and as of last July was on Maternity leave, and the practice was unsure whether she was coming back or not. I've since not been able to resolve the issue, and it is now on my credit report! She's siiting on her butt doing nothing, and I am stuck with having paid the second root canal, and another bill for the botched job she gave my husband on our credit! What a rip off!
