Hi,

I consider myself a honest person and that is how I like people to be with me but we can't always get what we want. But I know I can get justice for what had been done to me by this company.

I went to Lady of America in 2004 with my sister-in-law and the method they used to charge the monthly payment was by my checking account. My sister-in-law didn't have one at the time so the manager suggested that she use mine (which is under my husbands name) so we did.

I started to have problems because they were trying to take out money when not needed to be. So my husban wrote a letter to the bank telling them that he didn't want LOA to take any more payments out of his account.

When he did this LOA (their finance office which is in the states) decided to charge me the amount of $1,300.00 plus legal fees and said that my credit would be affected.

Also that I would be sent to court to settle this matter. So I stoped attending of course. Don't get me wrong the employees are the best and yes they did try to help me in every way and I also was loosing the weight but having that debt I was not allowed to use the gym any more.

I started to put the weight back on so my husband decided to go back and this time put the contract under his name but using the same account number.

I started in Dec. 2005 started to lose the weight and was very happy with the results until I recieved a letter in the middle of Jan. 2005 stating that I needed to pay the amount of $756.00 for the contract.

I called the finance office and they told me that by the 21st of Jan I needed to write another letter to the bank stating that my husband gave LOA authorization to take the payments out of his account.

We did (I have copies) and waited I kept going to the gym until Feb. 2005 when I call their office again to check the status and to my surprise they tell me that they have law suit against my husband because of the letter of non authorization. Asking me to pay $1,300.00.

If I didn't pay my husband would be noticed to go to court and then the amount would be $3,000.00 for every thing. I spoke to the new manager just last week and she told me that the manager who took my information was wrong in using the same account number.

Because of this little mistake my husband and I are now in this uncomfortable situation. I find it unfair and unprofessional that they do this to people thier method of payments should change.

Again I want to be clear on this part the gym is great because you do see the results and if I could I would go back the only thing that would have to change is this method of payments they have.
