We purchased a brand new Maytag washer & dryer from American which was a floor model & was told that there wasn't anything wrong with it. We took possession of the set on 11/27/10, we had to have them come out to service the washer because it was walking across the floor during the spin cycles. We were told to put a rubber mat under the washer. The washer was loud & got louder with time so we had them come out again on March 3, we were told that a bearing was going out & they would have to order a part. Today is April 4, they told us that the part just came in on Thursday after I made a visit to the store & today, they called to tell me that the part was damaged & it would be another week before they could get the part & that was rushing the part order. They say that they will be out on 4/11 to fix the machine. I will believe it when I see it. Everyone that we speak to says that they can't do anything & to just be patient! My patience is gone at this point! I would not recommend that anyone purchase an appliance from them due to their customer service after the sale & their service dept.
