Target
Target & Company takes No Responsibility

Furniture & Equipment

I was injured by falling (I think my foot fell into a groove in the carpet at the front of the store, but I am not sure) inside Target in Wilsonville, Oregon. (3/20) I suffered a concussion, my tooth fell out and I was in excruciating pain. A Target employee filled out an incident report with information that is only partially correct using info from my pain-induced mutterings. Although I never submitted a claim, Sedgwick has examined and decided that Target is not at fault. They (the Wilsonville, Target store) have, however, rearranged the entry area so at least my type of accident won't happen again. I don't understand the reasoning behind Target and Sedgwick... Just because they think they are in the right doesn't mean they are — and it builds so much animosity. I know I have stopped shopping at Target, one of the top 10 corporations in the US, that cannot give me the relative pittance the medical costs are. And because they are so relatively small, it is proving difficult to interest an attorney in a case which turns out to be a type which is quite difficult legally speaking. Who loses? Certainly not the corporation... Unless enough people have enough of it and become aware of Target's one on one community relations plan.
